Haute Mess by Steven Meisel

Joan-Smalls-Vogue-Italia-March-2012-011
Steven Meisel is one of my favorite fashion photographer, because I always seem to admire the stories he translates through his medium and I believe he really takes fashion photography to another level where it practically becomes art. His recent spread for Vogue Italia titled, Haute Mess was quite literally a mess, but a genius concept none the less. Taking some of his and personally some of my favorite supermodels including Abbey Lee Kershaw, Coco Rocha, Daphne Groeneveld, Guinevere van Seenus, Joan Smalls, Jessica Stam, Karen Elson, and Lindsey Wixson, the photographer transformed the beauties into... well HAUTE looking messes, but I absolutely love it all. It's crazy, a bit bizarre with a touch of high fashion, but then again, you can't expect anything less but boundary pushing from Franca and her team. Stellar photos and an inspiring spread in my opinion.
