Riccardo Tisci & Joan Smalls for Self Service Spring/Summer 2013

003
Riccardo is one sexy motha flacko isn't it? An italian gangsta... and with Puerto Rican beauty, Joan Smalls on his side, he's even sexier. And Ciara as a Givenchy muse? Wardrobing Rihanna's Diamonds tour? Nothing is stopping this man. No wonder he's set to receive the International Award at the CFDA's this year.

Garrett Neff for El Pais Semanal

gn0081-800x1036
I seriously CANNOT wait for the weather to commence here in NYC. I've been envisioning a lot of active wear, black and white, leather shorts, and mirrored frames in my wardrobe this spring/summer. I thought the styling in this editorial Garrett did for El Pais Semanal portrayed what I had in mind perfectly. Skateboard chic? Sign me up!

The Non Program Pavilion by Jesus Torres Garcia Architectes

nonprogramjesus1 non-program-jesus-garcia-08
I've recently grown an interest with architecture and I thought this project titled, The Non Program Pavilion by the Jesus Torres Garcia Architectes was absolutely stunning. Lately, I've been toying with the idea of escaping and relaxing, I guess you could say I've been interested in traveling and just doing some good ole' soul searching. I thought this 263 sqm escape in SalobreƱa, Spain, was a great idea if I could ever make it happen. Maybe seclusion in a beautiful, out in the middle of no where home is what the doctor ordered?Regardless, I love how the natural light hits the windows of the structure (an easy reflection) and how open the area is in the majority of this space. A boy can dream...

Frank Ocean for Band of Outsiders

001 (2)
Just like the rest of the world, I am completely infatuated/smitten/in love with Grammy winner, soul capturer, Frank Ocean. With his attendance to several fashion shows this past PFW including Givenchy, Valentino, Dior, Margiela, and Chanel, it was only no time he became the face of a design house. To my surprise, he's the new face of BOD, then again I'm not too surprised since he seems to fit the brand's aesthetic with his chill, low key, easy fashion sensibility.

Street Style: Christine Centenera

ccet1

Vogue Austrailia's Christine Centenera is probably one of the baddest bitches in the game right now (and for the past few years) when it comes to street style. While she's almost always dressed in black, she's got her swag behind her that makes her looks even that more bad. From Balenciaga, Chanel, Celine, Givenchy, and Balmain, this chic has it going all the time.

SHOES SHOES SHOES

Lately I've been looking at a lot of sneakers from Nike to New Balance. I've grown an addition, which is weird because I've never really been a sneaker head until recently. How dope are the black woven Nike's up top? SICK IN THE HEAD. I'm also looking into some good boots, but too bad Spring is making it's way around the corner..GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE!

Werner Schreyer for L'Official Homme Paris

001k
NEW MAN CRUSH ALERT! How swoon worthy does Werner look in this editorial shot by Cedric Viollet? Jennifer Eymere did a fantastic job styling the model in classic looks from Bottega Venta, Dior Homme, Giorgio Armani, and a slew of others. In easy no fuss looks, Wener does a great job looking all bad boy sexy like Kenickie from Grease. SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON.

Paris Fashion Week Favs FW 2013: Part One

Givenchy // Ricardo Tisci is just one of those designers who's just oh so gangsta in what he does it's almost always flawless. Does he ever get it wrong? With his cult following behind him including Ciara, Kanye West, Liv Tyler, Jessica Chastain, and many more, the man behind the fashion house continues to make a strong statement with his FW 13 collection. With sweaters in various mediums from embellished, printed, to sheer, Tisci sent out an array styled with show stopping skirts that made each look more and more drool worthy. I thought the Bambi printed tops were absolutely delightful and a fun lighthearted twist to the dark colored palette of the collection. J'adore!

Viktor & Rolf // I never really saw a collection by V&R that I really liked, because I always thought they were avant garde in a more artistic way than it ever being beautiful in a wearable sense. Then they sent down their FW13 collection and I thought it was the perfect balance between their artistic aesthetic and wearability. While no one can ever go wrong with a black and white scheme, I thought their play on pleats, bows, leather, and prints were fresh, fun, and chic. What do you guys think?

Valentino // Absolutely beautiful. A collection that was purely and absolutely beautiful from start to end. Each ensemble was more elegant than the next, from reds to blues, nudes to blacks, the collection was minimally extravagant but extraordinarily luxurious. I thought the fine China print was a great touch to the collection. Kudos to Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli for a job well done!

Emilio Pucci // I may be biased because of my undying crush on Peter Dundas, but I did thoroughly enjoy his FW 13 collection that was just as sexy as his last. From the thigh boots to the bangin' mini dresses, I literally wanted to rock and roll, which essentially is the DNA for the Pucci woman. A collection for any woman with attitude for sure.

Lanvin // I will always be a huge fan of Alber and I'm pretty positive if I was a woman, I'd be dressing in Lanvin all the time just like my red carpet fav, Emma Stone. I love how simple his silhouettes can be yet how potentially dramatic it can also be given the amazing attention to detail, play on shapes and proportion, and let's not forget the statement jewels. This season, Alber played with tiered ruffles of chiffon, fur stoles, embellished and printed florals, and statement word necklaces for a little twist of fun. I thought the overall collection was fun, flirty, chic, and classic Lanvin.
