New Purchase: Cambridge Satchel

I ordered the bag 3 months ago, and it finally arrived!!! I guess with all the publicity they were getting, their orders were backed up. But with the incredible workmanship and amazing quality of the leather, I cannot complain. I absolutely love my 11" black classic cambridge satchel! I read about them in Vogue and knew I had to have one. It's perfect for on the go and practically holds all my essentials. Plus, it's my first monogrammed item!! I'm in love. Purchase yours here.

Who doesn't love Victoria Secret models?! In honor of the big night, I put together some photos of the angels strutting their red carpet looks and my favorites of the night. If only my blog was big enough, I would actually be invited to the fabulous show like Karla and Rumi of Fashion Toast! Ugh.. -___-"

Vanity Fair: Lady Gaga

Though I have been getting a bit tired of her music and avantgarde ways, I cannot help but LOVE this cover Lady Gaga did with Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair's January issue. A classic for sure, one that will be admired for years and years to come.

Marni x H&M

The Versace x H&M collection really wasn't for me, but the overall collaboration was obviously very successful. I received an email this morning and was notified that the next designer collaboration for the swedish retailer in the incredible, Marni!!! The director of the Italian fashion house, Consuelo Castiglioni has created a spring collection for both women and men that captures the essence of Marni for H&M. Available from March 8, 2012 in around 260 stores worldwide and online, the collection features both clothing and accessories all at H&M’s prices! I don't know about you, but I can definitely work more Marni pieces into my wardrobe than Versace...

“I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements”. Consuelo Castiglioni, Founder and Creative Director of Marni. “For women, the colours are vivid and the prints are bold, be they African inspired or simpler colour blocks. The silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knit, and fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. To finish the complete look the collection also includes jewellery, shoes, bags and scarves. For men, the colours and fabrics are softened for a relaxed take on menswear staples that is truly Marni. The use of print is subtle, often as a lining or as a contrast detail for shirts, the silhouette a modern and relaxed take on masculine classics.”

Muse Magazine: Lindsey Wixon

Who doesn't love the 17 year old, Kansas native? The model was hand picked by legendary photographer Steven Meisel to star in a spread for Italian Vogue, which practically boosted her into model stardom. Those lips... Golden Girl indeed.

The Coveteur: Peter Som

Peter loves Céline just as much as I do. "I really admire Phoebe and what she's done for Céline. Her influence is everywhere in fashion. When I realized boys could carry Céline bags, I thought what the hell. I was jetlagged in Milan and went straight to the Via Montenapolene shop and got it." Other than our mutual love for seniorita Philo and senior Albaz, I really admire his collection of shoes, which vary from Margiela to Converse. How sick is his Junya Watanabe coat?

Photo Diary: Thanksgiving 2011

First things first, Happy Belated Thanksgiving y'all! I hope each and everyone of you had a great holiday just as much as I did. Though my holiday up in the Bay Area was less than 48 hours, I did so much from shopping in SF with my siblings, being at the 8th annual secret santa Thanksgiving dinner with my closest friends, and spending Thanksgiving day with my family. I was able to do all of this while never leaving the hungry, I practically ate until I puked. So much good food...as you can probably tell from my photos. Can't wait for Christmas!

Visionaire #61

With the most recent issue of Visionaire setting a Guinness World Record with the production of the largest magazine ever at a front and back cover coming in at an incredible five by seven feet, many of the photographs are practically wall art worthy (especially with it's larger size). I'd love to blow up these photos of Karl, Naomi, and Linda.

Obsession: YSL Bag

How incredibly yummy is this Yves Saint Laurent bag?! I'm telling you, if money didn't make the world go round, I'd have this baby in a heart beat. It's beautiful.

VV Brown

Ever since she came out with her smash hit, Shark In The Water in 2009, I was addicted to VV Brown and her irresistible personality and style. I got to see her perform last week with a few friends over at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles and I had such a blast watching and listening to her. A true act for sure. Humble, incredibly talented, and absolutely beautiful. I can't wait for her new album titled, Lollipops & Politics to come out early next year. Excited! I added the video below she did with the always wonderful PS22 Chorus, and I really enjoyed the inspirational lecture she gave the kids after performing with one another.
