More Taylor Tomasi-Hill

To feed my addiction even more with this woman, I found this great little interview with her about her life and her home on refinery29. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF HER! Can I please shadow you for a day, Taylor?! Wouldn't that be a dream? For more on her interview and her home, click here.

Refinery 29: What's your favorite mass store?

Taylor: "Zara. Some of my favorite things in my closet have come from Zara. Their price point is unbeatable, and they have a great way of interpreting trends that's a good medium between taste and quality."

Refinery 29: Do you have any particular dressing philosophies or strategies?

Taylor: "I try to stay true to myself as much as possible. I love to mix and match pieces from stores like J.Crew and Topshop with my runway favorites like Proenza Schouler, Ann Demeulemeester, and Phillip Lim. Also being comfortable is a huge part of getting dressed, because I spend a ton of time running around the city from appointments, to meetings, and in and out of the office. Anything too tight, short, or high just doesn't work with my lifestyle. I also feel like I have to be practical. I go to Fashion Week in every city and packing for a 27-day marathon can be pretty challenging. Basics save my life!"

Magdalena Frackowiak for Muse Winter 2010

magfrack1muse1

I'm feeling Magdalena's new mane. I actually prefer her in this long straight her and she looks fantastic in this editorial for Muse. I love the white theme and the minimalism in the shoot, it definitely showcases her true beauty; it's funny because I feel like the girl I met in Paris looked different, but sometimes I think "Did I really meet this girl?!" Anyways, love this editorial. For more click here.

At home with Pharrell Williams.

If I ever wanted a pad in Miami, I'd want it to look like Pharrell's home. I'm a sucker for natural light and I tend to only use lamps and such when it's dark, but I love how open his home is especially with the light. I'm sure in Miami where it's almost always sunny, I would need a sunroof like his. His vast collection of vintage and modern Louis trunks are insane, but I love his art work which features Family Guy, Mickey via Coco Chanel, Takashi Murakami, and his furniture is beyond trendy and one of a kind. I wonder what his bed room looks like, then again I wonder what his closet looks like... For more of my baby's lovely abode, click here.

Au Revoir Carine

chanel3
(original photo of Carine taken by my lovely friend Brian at the Chanel Haute Couture Summer 2011).

One of the most influential people in not only the fashion industry, but in my life has resigned from her position as Editor In Chief. Carine Roitfeld of French Vogue has bid adieu to her position at one of the most coveted fashion publications in the world which she had ran for 10 years. Her editorials for the magazine were the best in the business, thought provoking, sexy, powerful, and glamourous. I will miss her; I wonder what Emmanuelle Alt will be doing now that her partner in crime is dunzo at the end of January. Then again I wonder who Carine's successor will be... More on the story here.

Water for Elephants

This book is one of my all time favorites, so Reese and Robert have giant shoes to fill in it's motion picture counter part. Can they do it? I hope so, the trailer looks promising, but I hope I'm not speaking too soon. What do you think of the trailer?

The Style Blogger

thestylebloggfav1

I've recently been stalking Dan and his blog, which instantly became a daily read for me. I love his sense of style and not only use it to inspire my outfits on some days, but I use it for my clients at work. I've recommended suede chukka boots, camo details, and mix matching texture to my clients thanks to Dan, which has surprisingly made them excited to experiment with their wardrobe. Speaking of Chukka boots, I'm in dyer need of a pair or two, not to mention navy/grey trousers. AND WHERE THE HELL CAN I FIND A BELTED CARDI?! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME?!! Ugh, my job isn't making it easier for me to not want to shop. But then again, I'm not complaining...and hopefully my bank won't be either.

Mad for Thom Browne

thombrowne1

Now that I work and practically run the whole mens department at work, I'm constantly thinking about clothes for myself. I adore these Thom Browne short suits, which makes me super excited for spring even though winter just started. I love/want that shark&fish suit! Super fun and super spring/summer. Looking at this editorial for Wonderland, also makes me want a pair of Hunter boots! When it rains here in Santa Barbara, it pours, so I'm need of rain boots or duck boots. Anyways, my parents told me yesterday that my present is coming to my apartment a few days early so I am super excited! I've been whining about how much I needed a suit so I have a feeling it'll end up being something like that. I'll keep you posted!

Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2011

burbprefall1

Once again Christopher Bailey does not disappoint! I am love with his pre-fall collection for Burberry Prorsum, from what looks like velvet blazers/coats, the trousers, the sweaters, and the shoes! I love the browns, the dark navys, the greens, and the nice touch of orange, it's all very earthed tone, but still a bit rock and roll. I WANT I WANT I WANT!! For more Bailey madness, click here.
