Stamp House by Charles Wright Architects

Is it me or this a house you'd see in a video game like Halo? Either way, I think it's absolutely stunning. While the shape easily resembles that of a spaceship of some sort, I love how futuristic and modern it looks. It's even more beautiful at night when it's all lit up. The walkway along the water is incredible. The Queensland, Australia based design is made of both in-situ and precast concrete, which has been "engineered & insulated incorporating a total solar panelled roof to provide for a constant cooler & more comfortable ambient temperature year-round. The design utilises massive cantilevers to mitigate impact from potential flooding & king tide inundation associated with cyclonic activity. The project is category 5 cyclone proof and therefore classed as a cyclone shelter." If I lived off the Australian rainforest, I would love to have something like this. Both carbon neutral and eco-friendly. Two thumbs up.
