Givenchy // I've always been a fan of Tisci's work and like the Givenchy men's fall collection, Ricardo incorporated another animal into his women's presentation, a black panther. I loved the play on black, green, purple, and gold. I found everything royally chic, edgy, and a bit gangsta if you ask me. The presentation also showcased floral prints, sheer, cat eared hats, and gorgeous pointy heels. How amazing are the little Bettie Page details? A much more street/casual collection for the design house, but I absolutely loved it hands down.
Celine // The coats that paraded down Phoebe's runway were absolutely stunning. With different variations of materials, Philo had fun with the Fall coats, which showed versions in fur, wools, and alluring pops of color. I adored those 3 pieces with the dark wood grain print. So modern and so chic. Although previous seasons showcased what now are notorious it bags/pouches/clutches, I did not like this season's collection of bags. What did you guys think? Another home run for Team Philo?
Haider Ackermann // Ackermann's coats were beyond BANANAS. I absolutely drooled over each and every one in his collection. With cut out details, tweed, wide belts, satins, leather, and hues of green, blue, white, and black, the overall presentation was sexy, chic, and edgy. Those leather slouchy gloves would be a such a great accessory for the Fall season. Another great and solid collection from Haider.
Stella McCartney // Stella does minimal luxury perfectly. Her fall collection showcased different proportions, denim, polka dots, and lavish abstract patterns, which broke up the collections muted tones. Like previous shows, Stella's collection had Fall 2011 trends like polka dots, knits, mens wear, and pointy heels. Anja, who opened the show, wore my favorite piece; that simple plunging black dress. Simple & classic Stella.
Chloe // Hannah's designs for Chloe included leather, play with lines, turtle necks, snake skins, and Chloe's classical capes. I absolutely loved this collection. The leather wide trousers, the coats, snake skinned dresses, and play on lines with the tops and pants were tres phénoménal. The shoes in the collection were also great and showed a lot of different ones. Absolutely beautiful and a job well done!
Kenzo // I've never really been a fan of Kenzo, but I was definitely digging the Fall 2011 collection. Although floral may be more of a spring print, Antonio Marras, the fashion houses's creative director twisted it into a darker more fall appropriate print. The presentation showed a lot of loose fitting yet very refined pieces ranging from menswear to floor length dresses with intricate Eastern inspired patterns and prints accented by crimson and gold jacquard detailing. Again, turtle necks were present like in previous collections including Chloe and Haider Ackermann. A very strong collection if I must say.
