London Fashion Week Favs FW 2013: Part One

Mulberry // From the plaids, tweeds, to the leather, Mulberry had me at hello. Classic British style, but fresh, young, and fun. The chunky knits, skirts with pants, and simple dresses were absolutely delightful. Definitely pieces for every and any stylish young lady. What do you guys think? YAY?



Tom Ford // Mr. Ford can do NO wrong. I loved this collection from start to end. TF does sexy glamour like no other, and his clothes clearly showcase exactly that. From black and white looks to punches of strong magentas and vivid purples, the collection was strong and absolutely beautiful. Mixing a psychedelic black and white print against a more colorful cloral print accented with black lace and fringe created strong looks. A collection most def for the modern sophisticated women with a little sex appeal. meowwwwww.

Mens Fashion Week: Fall/Winter 2013 Favs pt. 1

Trussardi // From the color combination to the layering, I loved the bundled looks that walked down the runway of Trussardi's FW 13 collection. The looks from head to toe were so rich with color and texture, I was practically drooling. These days mix media coats and blazers are all the rage, and I loved the play on the sleeve, the pockets, and the sweaters. Who doesn't like a good mix when it comes to textures?



Costume National // Edgy, chic, and lots of rock and roll was the reccuring theme for Costume National's FW 13 Mens collection. I love the wide brimmed fedoras and all the leather pants...which thankfully seems to be a trend on the runways this FW 13 season. This collection was nothing short of cool. GIMMIE!



Missoni // Who doesn't love to be wrapped in a Missoni knit?! The warm colors easily look as inviting as does their suits. From tailored suits to fine gauged cozies, they've got the man's essentials covered while being completely wrapped in the Missoni DNA.



Salvatore Ferragamo // I'm usually dying over the coats at Burberry, but this season, I have to hand over to Massimiliano Giornetti and give him props, because these coats are absolutely MIND BLOWING. Giornetti sent so much depth and variety from leather jackets, pea coats, top coats, shearlings, and even capes, that I was completely amazed. While the proportion of the coats played with volume, I loved the compliment of the slim pants that accented the whole look. That last coat is beyond bananas.



Vivienne Westwood // I'm always excited to see what comes down the runway at the Vivienne Westwood shows, because the clothes and usually the shows, are whimsical and classic Westwood. I love the mix of London street and classic British tailoring. Fashion isn't always serious, and I love how playful these collections are. Such a rad show, I WANT ALL THE CLOTHES!

Mens London Fashion Week: Topman Design Fall/Winter 2013

If you know me personally, than you'd understand my addiction to the color orange. I think I resonate with a lot of things when you think about the color orange...weird. Anyways, I am in love with these full on orange looks from Topman Design's FW 13 collection. That orange turtle neck to the orange cropped wool coat, which is pretty much everything right now. MAJOR. Gimmie gimmie gimmie..

London Fashion Week: Fall/Winter 2012 Favs Part Two

McQ // Alexander McQueen's sister label, McQ had it's very first show during London Fashion Week on Monday and it was a dramatic show for everyone. McQueen's creative director, Sarah Burton designed the contemporary line and captured the essence of McQueen with tartan, lace, shearling, and leather details. From the military coats, tartan and laced dresses to the incredible menswear, the show was a feast for all eyes. Mary Katrantzou // London based designer Mary Katrantzou is giving the fashion industry a run for their money. After a very anticipated collaboration with Top Shop, the designer released an incredible follow up collection to her SS 12 collection. Continuing with her use of color, print, and architectural shapes, the presentation focused on abstract grid like patterns that later transformed into more primal prints. Katrantzou played with proportion and silhouettes, all of which looked flattering, bold, and structural. View the full collection here.

London Fashion Week: Fall/Winter 2012 Favs Part One

Matthew Williamson // It seems like the FW 12 season is going to be seeing lots of color and that's exactly what we got from Matthew's collection for it's fifteenth anniversary. From sky blues, plums, citruses, dark chartreuse, and turquoises, the Williamson woman was ultra chic and glamourous from feathered details to glittering sequins. A MW collection isn't a full MW collection without his signature prints, and the designer brought out a mix of of them that were equally abstract as they were sexy. View the full collection here.


Peter Pilotto // For his FW 12 season, Peter brought out an explosion of prints that were electrifying to say none the less. In terms of his prints, they're definitely different from what I've seen this season, but I enjoyed them. I thought they were abstract, appealing, and also sexy. I will say that I was kind of annoyed by all the cut outs on the dresses, but then again that's one of Peter's aesthetics. What do you guys think? Christopher Kane // I thought Christopher Kane's FW 11 collection was heinous, but I throughly enjoyed his presentation for FW 12. The color range was phenomenal with the show starting with basic blacks and working its way up to blues, dark purples, and strong reds. Floral prints were also present and were definitely my favorite details of the collection besides the large leather pipping. I think Christopher is a genius in mixing London coolness with chic practicality and originality. View the full collection here.


Erdem // Erdem was one of my favorite shows this season in London. Super feminine, fun, and classic. That's what I thought about when watching the ensembles that walked down the runway. It was pure print and color galore, and I saw a lot of red carpet worthy looks. A great collection with a range so vast, it had something appropriate for every woman of any age. Stella McCartney // Besides her all star cast which included Kate Moss, Shalom Harlow, Stella Tennant and Amber Valletta, Stella brought out a...steller presentation for her FW 12 collection. The designer paired her minimalistic aesthetic with prints, and strong colors like blues and reds, while the tailoring was impeccable and her dresses were sexy, chic, and classic Stella McCartney. Burberry Prorsum // Burberry's Creative Director, Christopher Bailey continued to focus on elegantly modern outerwear pieces for it's FW 12 season. Using a color palette of olive, plum, dark teal, amber, and soft neutrals, the collection brought out strong yet feminine silhouettes and detailing. The cropped tailored jackets paired with flared skirts and bow belts illustrated a flirty touch to the structural shapes and tough approach. Bailey's emphasis in rich fabrics from silk, wool, velvet, and lace created a balance between cool and chic for the upcoming autumn season, no? Loved it! View the full collection here.
