I got an email from my old Business Law professor today:
It's so great to hear from you, Ishmael. When I sent my reference, the response I got was something like "wow--we'll definitely hire him!", so I'm not surprised. I do hope you fully understand that you're a pretty amazing person--smart, engaged, curious, creative, interesting, likeable, and responsible. That's a wonderful set of qualities for an intern, and this sounded like the perfect job for you. I would be happy to be a reference for you in the future. Some day, I'll tell my friends that I knew you as a student, and they'll be impressed!
