Magdalena Frackowiak for Harpers Bazaar 2007

magdalena-beauty1

I feel like I'm currently drawn to futuristic/industrial type editorials like this one of Magdalena in Harpers Barzaar all the way from 2007. Maybe it's all the nostalgia bringing me back to how I read fashion magazines since middle school. Good times, plus who doesn't remember that 2007 metal armored Dolce & Gabbana piece?! Peter & Magdalena = magic.

Elle Fanning for Rodarte

Dakota's little sister, Elle is quickly becoming a fashion favorite and after following Tavi, Elle is the new face featured in Kate and Laura's short film titled, The Curve of Forgotten Things. I think this twelve year old in Rodarte looks darling, don't you?

Lanvin Opens in Los Angeles

For all those on the sunny coast of California like myself, REJOICE! Lanvin has finally opened a store on the west coast in Los Angeles, California. The store is located on Rodeo Dr. (of course), and conveniently hosts both men's and women's ready to wear and accessories collections in it's 4,520 sq. foot space. According to Alber, my favorite designer of all time, "LA is one of my favorite places in America,” says Alber Elbaz “There is something about old, glamorous America that I still see in Los Angeles. It is always a pleasure to go back there because there is something colorful, different and free spirited.”

I'm personally making a trip to LA this Thursday to visit USC, so I may need to make a pit stop to see the store. I missed the H&M collaboration, so I want/need to see what I might need to invest in. I love Lanvin, forever and ever.

Kanye West for V Man

Kanyew-West-on-VMAN-Design-Scene-NET-01
Looks like Kanye is finally putting his money where his mouth is, literally. West, who dons Louis Vuitton (of course) in this cover, spread, and interview for V Man speaks about his new record and his perception of fashion and music. According to Karl, who shot the feature and cover, "His strength is mixing music and fashion. He has an instant instinct for what looks and sounds good. He makes everything new and different." I definitely see his point, I like Kanye's style and how he enjoys fusing the two worlds together like, Lady Gaga. Remember his collaboration with Louis Vuitton? Those shoes, were bananas.

Anja Rubik, Lea T., Karen Elson & Ginta Lapina for Love

lovemm2

Love is bringin' back the 80's with this spread featuring some of my favorites including Anja and Karen. I love how Mert & Marcus brought it back old school with the desert background, the neon colored features including pieces from Miu Miu and Versace, and the whole technologically futuristic appeal to it. I also like how I'm seeing Lea T. (the faboosh tranny of Givenchy) everywhere! Tres chic. What do you think?

Lady Gaga for Supreme

gagasup1

Who would have saw this collaboration coming?! I definitely wasn't. I guess the project was done through Gaga's former chief collaborator, Matthew Williams, and was his last project before the two broke up romantically. The project was also shot by Terry Richardson and will be presented through one my favorite publications, Purple Magazine. I love Oliver (just thought I was throw that out there).Thoughts?

Thought I would add this little video too of Gaga showing my hubby, Anderson where she used to live before all the fame.

Nitrolicious: Wendy Lam for H&M

I first heard about Wendy's blog through my sister about two years ago, and since then I've been hooked. I love how she has all the insiders scoop and first look at H&M's collections, Zara's collection, collaborations between designers and retail corporations, reviews on the hottest restaurants in New York City, and has all access passes to some of the most coveted parties in the city. What's not to love? I'm not used to seeing much of Wendy in video, but I was happy when H&M did this kind of profile on her. Check out her blog and see what she's all about.

Watching these video's also had me watching more of H&M's videos, which are pretty interesting given that we get to see what it's like for a day at at the corporation.

Willow Smith for Teen Vogue

willow-smith-05

I absolutely adore this little ten year old. Willow takes on Teen Vogue for a quick editorial and interview, which is pretty interesting. I also heard a snippet of her latest song "21st Century girl" and I was hooked at the first 10 seconds! Excerpts from her TV include:

WILLOW, ON HER PERSONAL STYLE:
"I wear anything I feel like. If I want to put on a pair of Converse with a pencil stuck through them, I will.

WILLOW, ON "WHIP MY HAIR":
"Whipping your hair means not being afraid to be yourself. If people don't like you, then bunck them, you know?"

WILLOW, ON JUSTIN BIEBER:
"Justin's like my big brother. I don't have a crush on him."

WILLOW, ON HER INTEREST IN MUSIC:
"I used to go on tour with my mom and dad and see what they were doing, and I'd tell them, 'Oh, I wanna do that, I wanna do that.'"
