Now that I am officially 330 miles away from the CBS station, I am now continuing my full year internship from home or my new apartment I should say. It's actually pretty nice having to do all my work either on my desk in my PJ's or on my bed. Though it may seem like I can get away with more, that isn't the case, especially if you work for the great Akilah Bolden-Monifa.
I am constantly doing something. I currently have 3 ongoing projects, which include looking for comments on any of our Bay Sunday segments, suggesting friends to be fans of our Bay Sunday show on Facebook, and selecting guests for our National Heritage Month celebrations.
I've written a few pitches and weblinking, which has been really cool. The best thing yet has been writing a script for the hilarious actress Suzanne Whang, who has been on CBS's cold case, Nip/Tuck, HGTV's House Hunters, Two & a Half Men, Boston Legal, and NYPD Blue. That was super cool! I can't wait for winter break and actually be in the studio. I am thinking of maybe interning for radio with No Name at Live 105.5. I'd love to get different insights on different industries. Let's see if Akilah gives me the ok! =)
I have been thinking too, if I don't go to Paris this summer (which I better be), then I am planning my PLAN B, which is to go to Los Angeles and find an editorial internship. Either Harpers, Nylon, Teen Vogue, Vogue, and Interview would be amazing. So we'll see what life has to offer.
On a side note, my mother called me yesterday to inform me that my Auntie Marcy has passed. She was such an influential person in my life, it was truly shocking to hear from my mother that she has left me. She has been in my religious life since the beginning and even led my confirmation class. I am truly blessed to have met such an incredible women of such class, dignity, heart, kindness, and humor. I will love you forever Auntie Marcy. RIP.

Scott Schuman SAVED MY LIFE!
Thanks to my fabulous best friends, sister, and mother, I was able to snag a copy of Scott Schuman's The Sartorialist and get it autographed by the handsome man himself! I've been such a huge fan of his and his photography that I actually keep a few of them for myself to inspire me and my wardrobe. You may have seen a few of my favorites as I blog about a few every once in awhile. But I look at his photos and see more than the fabulous and interesting clothes he photographs, many of his subjects I believe tell a story in their face expressions, body language, and setting. He's just amazing, because he's able to take a snap shot of someone and express their identity. GENIUS!

Never would I have imagined that the man would be in San Francisco. And to my dismay, he blogs about his US tour and how San Francisco is one of the stops! So, I call my sister, mother, and best friends and they totally went out of their way to meet and greet the man to sign my book! I have the best family and friends in my life and I am more than thankful. I was just dissappointed that it wasn't me myself that went to meet the incredible man, but I am happy to have a piece of his art with me and have it ingrained with this signature. <3

Not so far away...
Last night I spent a few hours chatting it up via webcam with some friends and family. Vince told Anna and I about Tokbox, which is a pretty cool website where we can all chat at the same time using our webcams. I got super excited that I kept telling
people to go on so we can all chat together! lol. It was great to see a lot of familiar faces back home and see what everyone was doing.
Vince also happened to pick up our Lady Gaga concert tickets on the 13th of December in San Francisco. I'm really excited for that, since I will finall be home on winter break for that! Thanks Vince! Let's see what else, midterms are this week. GREAT. I've been studying since the weekend, so hopefully I do well. I have a French quiz today, and a midterm for the class on Thursday. I also have my comm midterm on Thursday. All I want to say is bring it on! ohk now I need to feel more prepared for the midterm, now that I said bring it on I have to study!!

ALWAYS RUNNING!
Just finished my first paper of the quarter! I really hope I get a good grade on it. I worked so hard and my CLAS tutor, Bob said that I've really improved since the first time I met with him. He said "I'm really glad you came back, Ish. It's good to see you and see how your paper developed into something better than it was before." Aww, such a cutie too, he even calls me Ish! Anyways...
MIDTERMS NEXT WEEK! Pray for me! But to celebrate my first paper and party before midterms, DT (downtown) this Thursday! I finally get to see my lovely Kels, I've missed her soo much. The last time I saw her was when we were both working at CBS. It's nice to have gained a friend that goes to the same school as me. <3 her. Ahhh, ohk 8am class tomorrow. pieces. =)
OH! And Lady Gaga's new single, Bad Romance is BADASS! I can't stop listening to it. Can't wait to hear Rihanna's new single Russian Roulette tomorrow!!
