Terry, Brad, and Rachel.
I loved The Rachel Zoe Project and although I'm not too sure if it's coming back for a third season, I can care less, because Tay Tay isn't on it anymore! I heard that her and Rachel got into it and are now not speaking terms with each other. So sad, I loved Tay Tay! Brad is the only one working with Rachel now, but I loved Brad since the beginning and now with the photo op he did with Terry Richardson, I love him even more! Plus, I think his style is amazing and rubbing on me.

New Obsession: Bruno Mars
After listening to the five songs on his EP, I completely fell in love. It was like love at first sight. His voice is so Justin Nozuka, but with some R&B. He's delightfully charming and I think his lyrics are pretty fun. After listening to his songs for a whole day, I practically had them memorized! Seems like I found myself a new obsession. I can't wait to see what else he has in store.
Check him out and listen to my favorites: Count on me, The Other Side, and Talking to the Moon.

Lessons learned/ing
1. Be grateful for your parents.
"I don't know where my parents are forking up the money to pay for my trip to Paris, but I am extremely thankful they are willing to spend so much on me for this amazing opportunity. Plus I am more than grateful that they trust me and the decisions I make, because without their support, I would have nothing. And as much as I complain and give them attitude, they give me nothing but unconditional love."
2. Nothing in life is free.
"I'm starting to feel really frustrated that all the work I do outside of school isn't helping me financially. It would be great to help my parents out financially by not having them worry about me and my finances. But in the long run, I understand (as I'm sure they do as well) that my work will pay off... and hopefully in large financial sums. I ain't playin.
3. Life is a journey, not a destination.
"I think I'm getting a little too ahead of myself. Too ambitious I guess you can say. I'm starting to feel the pressure and all with two internships, a full time school workload, trying to bust my ass to get into my major, finalizing Paris, and everything between. Sometimes I live my life too much into the future, I forget about the present. I need to let go and let flow, because life is in fact, a journey."
4. Remember to make time for yourself.
"As much as I do everything to benefit myself, I really need to sit down and close my eyes or take a look around to ponder. Everything is undeniably happening so fast, its becoming all a blur. Sometimes a movie or a quick episode of some horrid reality TV show will slow things down and allow some me time in order to recuperate from all the chaos I get myself into. I am now beginning how to balance my work life and my personal life. Wait, what personal life?"
5. Fashion isn't as glamorous as it seams.
" After working only a few weeks with DIANI, I've learned that nothing is easy as it seams (did you like how I spelled seems? Haha) a lot of work goes into everything, from our clothes (steaming) to our events (coordinating and planning). What the HELL have I got myself into? All in the name of Marc Jacobs? Oh yes. "

Busy Busy Busy
Wow, with a 8am to 630pm Mon - Fri schedule, it's hard to find some time to yourself. It's only been a week with my new internship, but surprisingly it isn't affecting me. In fact, I'm enjoying being busy everyday and constantly having something to do. With my constant yearning to be ahead, it's challenged me a bit, but let's see if I can make it work this quarter. I have a lot ahead of me, so don't be upset if you rarely see posts this month or next month. =/ But we'll see what happens.
My internship at DIANI is everything and more than I expected. I'm constantly doing something whether it's steaming clothes, unpacking shipment/returns, answering the phones, creating advertisements for our mailing lists, styling shoots for promos, designing blog posts, managing our FB fan page, and more. The girls are also extremely awesome. Although I have a few weeks till Paris, I am super excited to come back for the fall. Especially when all the Isabel Marant Fall 2010 comes rolling through our doors! Not to mention DVF, our DVF Spring 2010 is I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E.
CBS is also going well. Akilah just asked me if I wanted to continue interning for her remotely next fall and it is something I am considering. How amazing would it be to intern for one the biggest broadcasting corporations in the world? I'm sure 2 years of experience there will only help me in terms of my career. But we'll see, it is still something I am contemplating.

Whitney Port, Roxy Olin, Olivia Palermo & Erin Kaplan for The City
Although I have been seeing constant publicity for the awful show, The Hills, I didn't see any publicity for it's more fashionable and cut throat counterpart, The City. I'm glad to see Whitney and the girls back. This show is definitely a guilty pleasure and I absolutely love Erin's witty attitude, Olivia's style, and seeing Whitney just evolve from what she was on The Hills. Roxy is just being Roxy, so she doesn't bother me much. Plus now that Kell on Earth is dunzo, I still get my doses of Kelly. Seeing her on the first episode of the second season was really nice, especially when she cried. I love that woman too much...I need her book stat. We'll see what season two has in store, looks like more fashion & drama and less boys. I'm excited!

New Chapter: DIANI Internship
As life quickly unfolds, it was only a matter of time that I begin a new chapter in my life and I am finally proud to say it is an opportunity in the fashion industry. I was lucky enough to be accepted for an internship at Caroline Diani's boutique in downtown Santa Barbara called DIANI. It is a high fashion, eclectic mix of California meets Parisian chic boutique and I am super excited to be working with brands like Diane Von Furstenberg, Mary Kate and Ashley's Elizabeth & James, Chloe, LnA, Cynthia Vincent, Pleasure Doing Business, and the amazing Isabel Marant! I can not wait to see what this internship has in store for me, but I am truly grateful for this opporunity and will go into it whole heartedly. Fashion world, here I come.
