Can I have those please?
Mark Ronson recently did a collaboration with Gucci for Mens shoes, and I absolutely love them. The pair he's holding to the right is actually my favorite pair. If you know me well, you know that I LOVE boat shoes and I've been trying to look for some high top boat shoes! These are a great pair because their both a boat shoe and sneaker. Plus, they're Gucci!! I want em. Anyone love me a lot? ;]
Speaking of Mark, when will you be helping our beloved Amy make some damn new music? I miss her, badly. At least she's not a crack head anymore. Make her some hits Mark!
PS. If you haven't noticed, I blogged everyday for the month of November! YES!!! I was actually trying to do that, and I did. Glad to see I have time to blog. =)

First Quarter Coming to An End.
Wow, I can't believe it's practically December! Where has the time gone? I just got back to SB from my Thanksgiving vacation back home. It was great again to see everyone and eat a ton of food. My dad's side of the family decided to have this year's Christmas Eve at my houses, again. Guess I don't mind, but I would have preferred it in Mountain House, since we rarely go over there to see my cousins new house and my uncles new house. It's cool though.
Last night we had a little potluck with my closest friends and decided to pick our secret santa names. Everyone was there except Sophia and Toya. Sophia was in Vegas and I think Toya died. HAHA jk. IDK WTH happened to her. I can't wait to start shopping for my person! Christmas shopping is the best. I already know what to get for my person.
Speaking of Christmas, as soon as I finished putting away my laundry, food, and other stuff from back home, I decided to surprise and decorate the apartment a bit. I love the holidays, so I needed some reminder it was the holidays while I am stressing here at school. I found some cool Christmas themed seat covers that I put on the chairs, bordered the window with lights, and put up some silver garland with blue glitter ornaments. I even bought some egg nogg! yummmm. Anyways, I have a shizz load of reading and paper writing and reviewing to do before dead week begins tomorrow. AHHHH!

What a weekend.
Today is officially my last full day before going back to school. It was definitely, like always, wonderful to have been back. I got to see a ton of my friends and spend this Thanksgiving with my family as usual. I can't wait to be back home for Christmas break and for this quarter to be OVER. I hope I get good grades in my classes!
After this quarter is over, I get to look forward to Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour & Lake Tahoe for a snowboard trip at Vince's cabin. I wonder what I'll be doing for New Years. Hopefully something good! We'll see..

Recap.
Last night was uber fun. I don't currently have any pictures of it right now, but I'll try to get some up. When over to Lambda's for "Crown Night," but we were taking care of Pee Wee's friends the whole time. Her poor friend Judith couldn't walk straight and she was puking up a storm! Anyways, we basically ended the night shortly and found ourselves back at home by 1145pm. Although the Judith and Allie (Pee's friends from back home came up this weekend) were all sort of sick, Cindy and I decided to have some fun in our hall way. I love my house mates, we always have the best of times. After 8 tequila shots, I was alive and well.
School for two days, then I'm off to a 4 hour drive back home for Thanksgiving. Super excited to see my family. I can't believe it's Thanksgiving already, next thing I know it'll be Christmas! Can't wait for my friends and I to do secret santa again!

Quick Update.
Monday - Stayed up watching the meteor shower with some Delta Thetas and Zeta Phi's till 4am in the Santa Barbara Mountains. I saw 13 and it was probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I have never seen starts so clear until I went up on these mountains. Despite the deathly freezing cold, we stayed for 3 hours to watch the meteor shower. It was awesome, even though we got back home around 4 and I have class at 8am. =/
Tuesday - SCHOOL, SCHOOL, & No school (decided to sleep in during my last class)
Wednesday - CBS and SCHOOOOOOOOOL.
Thursday - my super long day. Class from 8am to 915, then 1 to 150pm, then 5 to 630pm and I have a presentation in my last class. Hopefully it goes well. After that, I get to look forward to a lovely Italian themed dinner my roommates and I are going to cook. Then we have the NEW MOON midnight showing over her in Goleta!! SUPER STOKED! Best believe we'll be in line before all the little girls start flocking over.
Friday - Sections for my Comm class, than hw and studying. Not much planned.
Saturday - Chi Delt Buddy revealing. Can't wait to see who my buddy is!!!
Sunday - SLEEEEEP.

Sweet Dream?
So I totally had a weird/great dream today. 13 years ago, my grandpa died. My grandpa along with my grandma basically raised all 17 of my cousins and I since we were babies. So I still have vivid memories of him taking us to Long Drug's to buy starburst, him cutting out hair in his backyard, and just watching the price is right with him. Anyways, for the first time I actually had a dream with him in it. He didn't say anything, he only smiled. All I remember is me hugging him and crying at the same time. I was so emotional. It's so weird because after talking to my cousins after I woke up, they said they have a few dreams about him too. But after 13 years, this is my first dream with him!
My mom called and I told her about it and then my dad grabbed the phone and asked what my dream was about. He interpreted the dream as my grandpa being proud of me. I guess I can see that. I mean after moving 5 hours away home for the first time and really being on my own, I get this one dream with him. How I miss you so much Tatong. =(

Quick Update.
AHHHH!!!! I can't effin believe it's Thursday already. These next two weeks are going to be HELL. I have a group project due next Thursday, that I haven't started, a paper due next next Tuesday, an outline for that paper due next Friday, and my research paper. FML. Who invented school?
Lately in my life, I feel like I need some type of redirection. Specifically in my career in Fashion. I have yet experienced any type of work in the industry and the last thing I recall was doing PR/media check in for SF Fashion Week and setting up for Macy's Passport 4 years ago! If I'm not going to Europe this summer, I really need to find a new internship that's actually involved in the fashion industry. I'm considering NastyGal since their located in the Bay! We'll see. NastyGal's rep is sky rocketing with spreads in Teen Vogue, Nylon and Lucky. Damn, damn, damn! =( I want to be working already!!! I really really dislike school. oh well.

Home Sweet Home.
I've realized after living in Santa Barbara for two months, that you really do forget sometimes what "home" was like. After going back home on Friday night, I realized how lucky I am to have certain things, especially a home. Glad I was able to surprise my friends and family. =) It was good seeing them this whole weekend and with Auntie Marcy's death and Uncle Richard's death, it was good to spend time with family, especially during these hard times.
Family and Friends will always be people who define who I am and I am beyond words thankful to have them in my life. Love you guys. I had a blast on Saturday night spending time with 7 or I should say 10 of my closest friends! It was nice seeing everyone again under one roof. We always end up having a great time.
Back to Santa Barbara till tomorrow morning, then back home for Thanksgiving. I can't wait! =)

RIP Auntie Marcy
My Auntie Marcy's funeral is this weekend and I still can't believe she's gone. When my mom called me on Thursday, I really didn't know how to respond. I guess I didn't believe it. She was such an influential person in my religious life that I really came to her for inspiration or when I needed something. Today, her death really makes me understand that I should take life in it's full capacity and be thankful everyday. Although she knew she was battling lung cancer, she decided to not seek treatment, for some reason I still don't understand. How could she leave my sister, my cousin, me, and so many others like that? Am I upset? A little. Do I understand her decision? Absolutely. She was always a woman of God and I think that's what I admired so much about her. That after her husband died, she FULLY devoted herself to him and became a nun.
She has taught me many things in life and made me understand that life is all about experiencing so much, but at the same time keeping it all in the line of God. I guess to never forget about him in my successes and failures. I promised you, that this summer when I visit Rome, I will visit the Vatican and think of you on your day there. It's one promise I'm sure I will keep. I love you always. Tell Uncle Tony I say Hi, oh and Jesus too. =) RIPardise.

Bonjour!
Wow, I have been on a role with this blogging. I'm trying to blog every single day this month. But I won't be holding my breathe. Tomorrow I have a wonderful surprise! Can't wait, it's definitely going to be good. =)
School so far is going well. Just surveyed 150 transfer students. I'm going to have to pull some quantitative data from it for my honors research project. Can't wait to draw conclusions, sike. ugh I can't wait to be home for winter break! Quarter system don't joke around, it's really really fast. But I think I'm getting the hang of it.
Midterms came back, and I pulled a B in both my French and Comm midterm. I also got a borderline B+/A- on my comm paper. I was really aiming for a strong A, but let's see if my curve will bump it up to a solid A.
I signed up for my courses for winter quarter and I am happy to say that I only have class on Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday! I'm taking Asian American Queer Studies, Intro to Education and Vocational Guide, and Communication Research Methods. Ughh not sure how it'll go, but hopefully well. Haven't decided which course I'm going to do an honors contract with, but maybe Ed or AA. I need at total of 6 honors units this year to stay in the honors program, so I need to haul my ass again and get good grades.
Today was grad school day at the Arbor, and I went to check a few. I'm debating on whether I should go to grad school, but I've talked to a bunch of my professors and TA's and they say that if I want to get into PR, grad school isn't necessary, unless I want to open up my own firm. So we'll see. Grad school in New York, would be my option if I did go. Oh, and before I went to check our the grad schools, my bike chain fell off the track, which was an uber bitch. I ended up not going to French, but luckily since we're a bike campus, we have a bike shop, which fixes our bikes for free!! That was cool.
Ahh ohk, I'm staying in on this Friday night to get somethings done. Roommates went back home so I'm home all alone. Maybe I'll pop a bottle of wine or have a beer. Hell I'll take some shots. =)

Internship Update.
Now that I am officially 330 miles away from the CBS station, I am now continuing my full year internship from home or my new apartment I should say. It's actually pretty nice having to do all my work either on my desk in my PJ's or on my bed. Though it may seem like I can get away with more, that isn't the case, especially if you work for the great Akilah Bolden-Monifa.
I am constantly doing something. I currently have 3 ongoing projects, which include looking for comments on any of our Bay Sunday segments, suggesting friends to be fans of our Bay Sunday show on Facebook, and selecting guests for our National Heritage Month celebrations.
I've written a few pitches and weblinking, which has been really cool. The best thing yet has been writing a script for the hilarious actress Suzanne Whang, who has been on CBS's cold case, Nip/Tuck, HGTV's House Hunters, Two & a Half Men, Boston Legal, and NYPD Blue. That was super cool! I can't wait for winter break and actually be in the studio. I am thinking of maybe interning for radio with No Name at Live 105.5. I'd love to get different insights on different industries. Let's see if Akilah gives me the ok! =)
I have been thinking too, if I don't go to Paris this summer (which I better be), then I am planning my PLAN B, which is to go to Los Angeles and find an editorial internship. Either Harpers, Nylon, Teen Vogue, Vogue, and Interview would be amazing. So we'll see what life has to offer.
On a side note, my mother called me yesterday to inform me that my Auntie Marcy has passed. She was such an influential person in my life, it was truly shocking to hear from my mother that she has left me. She has been in my religious life since the beginning and even led my confirmation class. I am truly blessed to have met such an incredible women of such class, dignity, heart, kindness, and humor. I will love you forever Auntie Marcy. RIP.

Scott Schuman SAVED MY LIFE!
Thanks to my fabulous best friends, sister, and mother, I was able to snag a copy of Scott Schuman's The Sartorialist and get it autographed by the handsome man himself! I've been such a huge fan of his and his photography that I actually keep a few of them for myself to inspire me and my wardrobe. You may have seen a few of my favorites as I blog about a few every once in awhile. But I look at his photos and see more than the fabulous and interesting clothes he photographs, many of his subjects I believe tell a story in their face expressions, body language, and setting. He's just amazing, because he's able to take a snap shot of someone and express their identity. GENIUS!
Never would I have imagined that the man would be in San Francisco. And to my dismay, he blogs about his US tour and how San Francisco is one of the stops! So, I call my sister, mother, and best friends and they totally went out of their way to meet and greet the man to sign my book! I have the best family and friends in my life and I am more than thankful. I was just dissappointed that it wasn't me myself that went to meet the incredible man, but I am happy to have a piece of his art with me and have it ingrained with this signature. <3
