Fashion's Night Out 2012

I cannot wait to experience my first FNO here in New York! I'm so excited to explore the city, enjoy different parties, see and meet a ton of celebrities and fashion industry leaders, and shop of course! I really need to map out what I'll be doing for the night. What are you guys doing?! Love love love the video above promoting the big international event featuring Usher, Victoria Beckham, Peter Dundas!, Tory Birch, and a slew of others. How cute is Glee's Darren Chris?! swoon.

Street Trends: Scarves

I was at the MET one day to check out the Prada & Schiaparelli exhibit and I remember seeing this super chic little boy and he was wearing a pale pink polo, white trouser pants that were cuffed at the bottom, and a cute little scarf that was tied at the neck; I remember thinking, "How chic is this little boy?!" So, while it did seem a bit creepy for three seconds, I decided to take a photo of him on my iPhone for inspiration. I really like how these gents incorporated the little accessory into their wardrobe. It adds a nice little touch to a rather simple outfit and completely makes it more chic. Must try this trend out.

Vogue: The Stylish Singers, Designers, Actors, Models, and More of the Moment by NJR

1 2
One of my favorite editorials I look forward to most in the September issue of Vogue is the one that incorporates the hottest talents in the world of fashion alongside some of the most well-known celebrities today. Vogue US always does an amazing job styling and editing the shoot, but the magic is definitely conjured up by the one behind the lens. Norman Jean Roy did an absolutely flawless job shooting some of the best designers today including Phoebe Philo, the boys of Proenza Schouler, Joseph Altuzarra, Ricardo Tisci (yay!), Peter Dundas (HELLS YES!), Christopher Bailey, Sarah Burton, and a slew of others along side some of the best models...and celebrities like Diane Kruger, the Clarins sisters (their fashion famous), Rooney Mara (for Givenchy, that was a given), and Kirsten Stewart (which I purposefully failed to include. TEAM PATTINSON!). How stunning does Florence Welch look in her CHANEL gown and Dolce & Gabbana cape?! AMAZING.

Documentary: Diana Vreeland's The Eye Has To Travel

It's been awhile since I've watched a fashion documentary, and this one looks TOO TOO good to pass up. Diana Vreeland was such an icon in the world of fashion not only for her words and articles, but because of her vision. She was an absolute visionnaire and clearly knew a good person when she saw one.

Cara Delevingne for Elle France

Just like her sister Poppy, Karl is completely smitten of the other Delevingne half. I love this editorial Cara did sporting the various ways to wear a classic CHANEL jacket for Elle France. As a current employee of the House De CHANEL, I love a good tweed jacket and the styling of this editorial is great. Many people think the RTW of CHANEL looks a bit dated and old, but it's totally not given the right mix and match and daring combos. Hello! Have you seen the way Poppy, Alexa, Leigh, or Jenn sport their CHANEL?! Check out Cara rocking out Coco her way...

Robert Pattinson for Black Book Magazine

Poor poor Kristen is probably totally regretting her life right now. Seriously? Why would you EVER cheat on someone like Robert. Like seriously, look at the man. The actor is looking all sorts of smoldering on the pages of his editorial for Black Book. In vintage tees and fake tattoos, Robert looks delightfully scrumptious. Suck on that KSTEW!

Lady Gaga for Vogue September 2012

lady-gaga-vogue-us-september-2012-01
I can't believe September is only a few weeks away! It's insane how fast time goes, but I'm super stoked for my first NYC fall season aka Fashion Week aka Fashion's Night out aka orange leaves all around the city! Anywho, the genius that is Anna Wintour has decided to give Lady Gaga her second Vogue cover, nailing the most coveted issue of the year in custom made Marc Jacobs. I really didn't understand the whole concept of having her as the face of the September issue, but after watching the video below, I was curious. At least she looks dynamite.

Gwen Stefani for Harper’s Bazaar September 2012

gwen-stefani-harpers-bazaar-september-2012-01
Everyone in the fashion industry knows the September issue is the biggest issue of the year illustrating the upcoming fall collections and slowly, but surely a few magazines are already revealing their September cover stars, and I am happy to see Gwenie Gwenie Gwen on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. While her incredibly successful band No Doubt is slowly making their come back, I'm glad she's fully back in the game. The mother of two/designer/singer is still looking as good as she was in the early 90s in looks from Alexander McQueen and Jil Sander to only name a few, what's her secret?! Not sure how I like the all pink looks, this is a fall issue isn't it? Also check out the super talented Kelly Clarkson cover No Doubt's single, Don't Speak. FLAWLESS.

Update: NYC

photo 1
I apologize to all my readers for my inconsistent absence. For those of you that have moved to a big metropolitan city, then you understand that it's quite difficult adapting once you've first hit the ground running. NYC is one touch city, and it ain't easy here. I promise to blog more and actually make use of my camera so that you guys can follow me around here. I'm currently juggling a full time job and an internship, so as you can imagine, I don't have much time for myself. In the mean time, follow me on instagram at idizon. Isn't my lovely Marina just the cutest? How dope is my new Stella McCartney Tee? RAWR! =)

Aymeline Valade for Antidote

aymeline-valade-jan-welters-antidote-01
While I've relocated to Nueva York, I'll always be a California guy at heart. This awesome editorial featuring the beautiful Aymeline reminds me of the whole skater/surfer California lifestyle, but what I love most about this editorial is how flawless and effortlessly beautiful Aymeline looks while riding dirty on her skateboard. A simple, yet dynamic concept.
